Arrive where we started

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Yesterday, two friends and I cut down a fairly large tree at the ashram gate. I made a small mistake by making the undercut not completely horizontal, resulting in the tree falling slightly to the right of where I wanted it to go. I had hooked a cable to a pickup truck to pull when I started the backcut, but that poor truck wasn't heavy enough and I had to cut further in than I had expected, all the time thinking what a dangerous tree this was and that I had to be ready to jump back at the first sign it was going over. Because my judgment was slightly off, one of the branches swept the top of the stone wall and knocked some small parts off. They all thought I had done a masterly and professional job and were happy that no more damage was done; they were afraid I would not be able to miss the wall. After that I spent several hours cutting the tree up and was happily tired at the end of the day for the first time in many months.
