Excess Mobility

Excess mobility is the disease of the modern world. Here we are, Facebook users scattered in too many places often longing and missing each other. Systems like Facebook attempt to re-link us by providing virtual substitutes via the Internet. All this is a misuse of Internet technology. The Internet industry wants us physically separated and utterly mobile; but, at high cost to local community and real day to day family and community life. The radical thing now is to "go back" to being near each other and limiting travel. Less fuel burned up, less global warming gases, less sleepless time in clogged airports.
