Stars

Stars are openings of light in the night of life

I had a “girlfriend” in the first grade. She was an outcast like myself. She had golden hair, my hair was dark brown. She always looked dreamy and spaced out. Kids made fun of her. She carried a little book that began with a picture of a star. She said, “We came from there”. Looking back, I now feel that she knew something important.
Indeed, we do come from the stars. The elements that support life where not there at the beginning of the Universe; but had to be “cooked” in the vaults of earlier stars that created heavier elements such as carbon and oxygen. These stars exploded and later new stars came into being that already had these elements build upon. So we come from second, third, and perhaps fourth generation stars. We are star stuff.
We can’t be certain about what happened way back when it all began. The best we can come up is theory and poetry. So we say, “God created …” not really knowing what God is, because it is all beyond our deep understanding. Just go into deep silence and stillness several times a day, to feel for the source of all that is.

What sound will the universe make When it dies?

What sound will the universe make
When it dies?
Will it crumble and crack,
Or let out a sigh?

Will it summon tears tragic?
Or at peace with the matter
Sit silent in thought
Or exude cosmic laughter?

How will we know if
The universe bursts?
Are we its sole conscience
Bound to one tiny earth?

These things
These things
The coyote sings
In the deep of the meadow
So lonely for spring

Will we ever know if
There's none left to wonder?
When atoms shake naked
Under skies torn asunder

How will we know when
The sage is withholding?
In the deep of the meadow
A flower unfolding

Fabric of the Universe

Modern quantum physics suggests that
uncertainty is woven into
the fabric of the universe.
Each of us reflects the
wholeness of all that is.
Can't be certain
we'll be here tomorrow.
Statistically, chances are good
for being correct when saying,
"See you tomorrow morning."
That's not absolutely determined.
So be humble.
Nothing is certain -
not even death and taxes.

Creation

Creation

Creation is the play of nothing, something, the possible, and the impossible. Within a field of nothing a universe is born - expanding outward in all directions. Many theories exist about this. Some theorists suggest that there may be multiple universes (but detecting such a possibility going to be hard). What’s something? A thing, an object Things could be tangible or intangible.

Every moment and place is filled with infinite possibilities. Out of nothing (unless God is assumed) a universe began to expand.

Universe Communicating

The Universe is vast -
and bigger than
we can imagine.
But love is greater.

The Universe is always
communicating with us.
It's our job to listen.

Deep Reality

Human brains are somewhat fuzzy. Our bodies are not the all that strong. We walk around on two feet. Our eyes don’t see in the dark. Our bodies are not the strongest. It takes many years for us to mature enough to be able to live without our parents.

Reality seems endlessly deep. How do we get to the bottom or is it (reality).
Dictionary definition of reality: (in ethology) the world as it is experienced by a particular organism. Brooke Gladstone’s little book, The Trouble with Reality introduced me to the word “umwelt”. A word that suggests the idea that different animals living on the same patch of earth have radically different experiences of the same local environment.

Tree of Life

Found this image and quote while scanning the Internet for
"tree of life". Attributed to Albert Einstein. Feels true.

The Wayseer Manifesto

Today, into my world came a gift from a friend*; a YouTube video that speaks to the part of us tuned to Truth, the Way, the Cosmic Order, the Absolute, God, ...

Dare to listen and feel with your heart:

The Biocentric Universe Theory

NASA Hubble Space Telescope CollectionNASA/ESA/A. Schaller (for STScI)
The following is from "The Biocentric Universe Theory: Life Creates Time, Space, and the Cosmos Itself". Stem-cell guru Robert Lanza presents a radical new view of the universe and everything in it. by Robert Lanza and Bob Berman. From the May 2009 issue, of Discover Magazine, published online May 1, 2009. For full article go to: Biocentric Universe Theory.
Figuring out the nature of the real world has obsessed scientists and philosophers for millennia. Three hundred years ago, the Irish empiricist George Berkeley contributed a particularly prescient observation: The only thing we can perceive are our perceptions. In other words, consciousness is the matrix upon which the cosmos is apprehended. Color, sound, temperature, and the like exist only as perceptions in our head, not as absolute essences. In the broadest sense, we cannot be sure of an outside universe at all.
For centuries, scientists regarded Berkeley’s argument as a philosophical sideshow and continued to build physical models based on the assumption of a separate universe “out there” into which we have each individually arrived. These models presume the existence of one essential reality that prevails with us or without us. Yet since the 1920s, quantum physics experiments have routinely shown the opposite: Results do depend on whether anyone is observing. This is perhaps most vividly illustrated by the famous two-slit experiment. When someone watches a subatomic particle or a bit of light pass through the slits, the particle behaves like a bullet, passing through one hole or the other. But if no one observes the particle, it exhibits the behavior of a wave that can inhabit all possibilities—including somehow passing through both holes at the same time.
Some of the greatest physicists have described these results as so confounding they are impossible to comprehend fully, beyond the reach of metaphor, visualization, and language itself. But there is another interpretation that makes them sensible. Instead of assuming a reality that predates life and even creates it, we propose a biocentric picture of reality. From this point of view, life—particularly consciousness—creates the universe, and the universe could not exist without us.
