I’ve been witness to a cold and
muffled place where spirits cast
about openly in search of
their glory days.
Occasionally their presence
unnerves me, rarer still, I am
knocked off balance and thus
begin a day marked with
fear and turbulence.
Most days I dwell with their
existence knowing that those
I have loved are with me, forever.
I feel their love directing,
and enriching my daily life.
Through me, their memories
nurture all that I choose, and
